Four Fall Items in My Closet I Can’t Live Without
Although fall hasn’t technically arrived, I already can’t seem to get my favourite season off my mind. And while I patiently wait for sweater weather to arrive, I can’t help but think about all the cozy outfits I’ll get to wear once the temperature starts to drop. With the chillier days ahead I wanted to share a list of my favourite fall wardrobe staples that I can’t live without.
A Great Pair of Booties
No wardrobe is complete without a pair of sleek ankle boots. They are versatile and will go with just about everything from pretty floral dresses to jeans and a cozy knit sweater. My favourite booties for fall is a great pair of black leather ankle boots, especially pointy-toe Chelsea boots like these Marc Fisher beauties.
Leather Shoulder Bag
There's no better way to accessorize an outfit than with a gorgeous leather bag. I've found the perfect bag is large enough to carry all your essentials (for those days when you need to have five shades of lipstick on you at all times) and small enough to be worn to more formal evening events. My go-to bag for fall is my Rebecca Minkoff quilted bag -it's classic and timeless, goes with everything and can easily be worn dressed up or down.
There's really not much better than a feminine flowy dress to complete your fall wardrobe. I love stocking up on floral dresses that can be worn with bare legs and ankle boots on those early fall days or tights and over-the-knee boots once the temperature drops. I love something with a ruffle, as it adds a charming touch to your look, like this stunning Mes Demoiselles patterned silk dress.
A Stylish Hat
A stylish hat is a must-have fall accessory, especially for those windy days when you can't seem to keep your hair in place. This season, you'll always find me wearing a black fedora style hat, as I love how timeless it looks and that it can be styled with everything, from casual jeans and sweaters to crushed velvet pants and heels.
